VP, Sales and Marketing
Bob Potter has nearly 25 years of utility industry experience. Before joining ESG in 2001, he spent six years at two New England utilities in load forecasting, product development and business development. An Internet start-up Bob helped found was the first to bundle local and long distance service with electric and natural gas retail services. Bob is responsible for directing all sales and marketing efforts at ESG. His comprehensive knowledge of the energy market helps Bob tailor ESG’s offerings to meet the specific needs of each client. Bob graduated Magna Cum Laude from Plymouth State University and earned his MBA from the F. W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.
VP, Billing and Implementation Services
With ESG since 2005, Carol has demonstrated her skill at delivering complex services with a strong customer focus. Drawing on her 40+ years experience in the energy industry, Carol guided the development of ESG’s Prospect to Cash (P2C) billing solution which focuses on the bottom line by successfully integrating people, process and technology. She is responsible for billing operations along with the continued evolution of the P2C service. Carol has extensive customer care and IT experience: she previously held positions as the VP, Customer Care for a 350,000 customer gas company with operations across 3 states and as Director of IT Systems for a northeast electric company with 1.2 million customers.
VP, Business Development
With ESG since 2000, Drew brings 20+ years of management and industry experience to his role of VP Business Development at ESG. Drew is responsible for managing key client relationships, developing new products and services, and seeking strategic partnerships. Drew has also served as VP Client Services at ESG, managing client relations, implementations, and professional services projects. Prior to ESG, Drew served as Director Business Systems for a large energy supplier specializing in EDI, CRM, and CIS system deployment. Drew also served as energy trader, U.S. controlling accountant, and pipeline scheduler at a Fortune 50 company, and held management positions with a large, international retailer. Drew received an M.B.A. from University of Houston, and B.A. in business administration from Texas A&M University.
VP, Information Technology
Since 1998, Phil Gurule has overseen all aspects of ESG’s planning, management, acquisition, delivery and security of IT assets. Phil directs our strategic technology goals, policies and procedures, and has provided expert organization-wide direction and leadership across a diverse portfolio of services, from project management and quality assurance, to enterprise architecture, information systems and disaster recovery. Under Phil’s leadership, ESG has developed a robust, scalable solution that allows ESG to service a number of clients in the areas of Transaction Management Services, Prospect to Cash Services, and Wholesale Energy Services supporting a broad range of communication protocols, data formats, event driven processes, and domain-specific business rules.
VP, Client Services
Since 2000, Florie Ritchie has been responsible for the implementation and support of ESG’s Transaction Management Services (TMS). She serves over 100 ESG clients in 21 states and 140 utility service territories, as well as ten utilities with 170 supplier/retail trading partners. Anticipating and satisfying each client’s specific requirements is her passion, fueled by years of prior experience in insurance, call centers, telecom and software support. The Implementation Project Plans Florie creates and manages support client requirements, meet projected timelines, and determine and coordinate internal resource allocation to meet project goals.
