Job Title: Communications Analyst - Rockland, MA Back
Energy Services Group, Inc. (ESG) provides procurement and eCommerce data services to competitive energy market participants across the country.

The Communications Analysts works for the Security group in the Operations department that is responsible for configurations, set-ups and day to day customer system support and monitoring of ESG’s production environment. The security group is responsible for the connectivity between ESG and our client’s trading partner community defined as: Electric and Gas utilities, ISO’s, RTO’s, third party vendors, meter reading authorities, banks, etc.

Primary Responsibilities

Work closely with members of ESG’s production, implementation and client services teams in the execution of ongoing client projects and day to day operational requirements:
  • Responsible for client/trading partner relationships set up in our production, QA and test environments

  • Maintain all transmission protocols and monitor for errors i.e. (GISB, VAN, FTP, HTTP, etc)

  • Responsible for communications failure resolution and remedy

  • Responsible for issuing/maintenance of client logins for the production and test Conduit Market Portals

  • Assist on special projects as they arise in support of communication group as well as any special projects

  • Assist Management with compiling and verifying the monthly incidents, issues tracking and billing numbers

  • Ability to prioritize work load and meet multiple project deadlines

  • Communications Analyst also assists in fulfilling client requests and/or inquires

  • Maintain Security Key information table and update and notify clients/trading partners of upcoming expirations

  • Setup client and trading partner transmission methods and perform connectivity testing to ensure method is reliable and secure

  • Work with third-party VAN vendor to set-up and configure new trade relationships

Qualifications
  • College graduate

  • Experience in the IT and/or energy fields

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • bility to multi-task project assignments and follow through to completion

  • Motivated, proactive, and energetic person that is interested in maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction

  • Must be able and willing to collaborate in a team/cooperative environment as well as exercise independent judgment and initiative

  • Must pass reference verification
