| Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst |
 |
|
Energy Services Group, Inc. (ESG) provides eCommerce data processing, billing, and transmission services to competitive energy market participants. This is a full time position and is located in Rockland, MA.
|
Responsibilities will include:
- Perform hands-on, functional integration and regression testing
- Approximately 80% Black Box Testing and 20% White Box Testing
- Perform verification of system functionality to business requirements
- Verify quality assurance standards with regard to all external data formats
- Quality Assurance and development assistance for Business Rules
- Use of analytical software to expedite testing for Production and non-Production issues
- Documentation and organization of mapping and processing issues with defect tracking system
- Data manipulation and analysis for multiple formats including EDI
- Develop and maintain strong knowledge of business process/systems as well as quality assurance procedures and methodologies
- Develop and implements internal test plans
- Assist with processing failures which may occur during daily production runs
- Assist with special projects as needed

Qualified candidates should possess the following:
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
- Hands on experience with business transaction processing
- Ability to perform all aspects of verification including: feature testing, functional testing, negative testing, regression, load and performance testing
- Ability to design and execute manual test plans. Analyze, validate, and document test results
- Ability to multi-task and work independently with little supervision
- Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
- Strong analytical, problem solving, technical and communication skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
- Ability to work on varied projects, meet deadlines, and creatively solve problems
- Ability to work with both business and technical personnel
- Attention to detail and solid organizational skills a must
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products
- Familiarity with SQL Enterprise Manager or Oracle SQL
- Familiarity with EDI and/or the Energy Industry is a plus
